THE RUTH ELLIS SWING BAND

The Ruth Ellis Swing Band released a flexi disc in 1989 through a fanzine called 'Smashing Time'. It featured two songs, 'The AntiChrist of Love and Hatred' and 'Burn Your Books & Join My Life'. I played guitar and sang the vocals, Paul Harding played bass and Dean Tyler played lead guitar. Another song was available on the 'Somethings Burning In Paradise' cassette. Recorded in Sheffield with One Thousand Violins guitarist Colin Gregory, 'I Would Have Saved you'..
The Ruth Ellis Swing Band was briefly reformed in 2009 to celebrate 21 years since the first release with an eleven track album entitled 'Swinging In The Rain'.
